Shapes and colours of numerous types of pumpkin form the creative basis for an artistic interpretation. – Hokkaido!

The Mission

I was asked next to some other designers and artists if I would like to create an artwork on the theme "Gourds". And of course I gladly accepted the challenge - I love all sorts of gourds! At the end I came up with the idea to visualize the large variety of different pumpkins within a large mosaic-like illustration made out of different types of wood.

Color Palette

The different elements of the wooden object should also be inspired by the theme, so I selected a colour combination of five colours based on a photo. These colours were now used equally and excitingly within the collage
